Agape News, Pinson Christmas Gathering and Upcoming Events
Hello all,
I am looking forward to this Sunday, to worshiping together with you, and being edified and challenged by David McConnell, who will be bringing a message that will enable us to focus more on Jesus and the reason for His coming to earth from heaven. We begin at 10:00am with breakfast, and then will launch into worship and word. Afterwards, we will have a brief family meeting for all who would like budget updates for 2010.
Note that next Sunday, we will be celebrating Christmas together @Agape. John Talley and the worship team have planned a very special morning for us that includes multiple stories (and story-tellers) that will point us to Jesus. We will have special music that day, the Kids ReVive children’s group will help lead us, and several people will be speaking and contributing. It will not be a typical, traditional celebration of Christmas, but more of a Jesus focused time of appreciation of and joy in the most needed and wonderful gift in history. The whole day will kick off with a delicious covered dish breakfast, so remember to bring some great breakfast items to share, and keep in mind that some of our food pantry friends will be joining us, so try and bring extra food, if you can!
Finally, I have been contacted by a few families that need help this Christmas. If you would like to join in helping them, please email me back, and let me know.

Wednesday, December 15: Gospel in Community Part 8, Wednesday Night Bible Study, 7pm.
Friday, December 17: Staff and Deacons Christmas party 7pm at Agape. Covered Dish, games, Christmas songs and fun!
Sunday, December 19: Agape Christmas Celebration: Food Pantry, Christmas covered dish breakfast. Brief membership class after church. Genesis not meeting on this night.
Wednesday, December 22: No Wednesday Night Bible Study in the sanctuary. Youth Group still meeting.
Sunday, December 26: Cinnamon Roll breakfast - Christmas communion. Come Thou Long Expected Jesus series finale.
Sunday, January 2: Message: Vision 2011 part 1.
Sunday, January 9: Message: Vision 2011 Part 2. Family Meeting and 2011 Budget voting. .
Sunday, January 16: Joint Sunday morning service with Living Word Church @Agape - Our worship team leading, Bo Johnson preaching. Beginning time approximately 10:20 or so. Light fruit and coffee for breakfast.
Sunday, January 23: Beginning of new series (16 week?) on 1st Timothy.
Sunday, February 6: Super Bowl party and food pantry drive (tentative)
Sunday, February 20: Joint Service part 2 - Agape to join Living Word church - I will be preaching there, and their worship team will be leading worship.
