Agape News: Wednesday night + funny Christmas video…
Tomorrow night at Agape, we will finish up our 8 week study on the Gospel in Life. The subject tomorrow night is Heaven: the eternal, ultimate city - the destination of all of those who die in Jesus. What does the Bible really teach about Heaven? Will there be pearly gates, and streets of gold, and St. Peter standing as the door guard? What difference does Heaven make in our lives today? Is it simply the destination of Believers when we die, or does the very existence of Heaven actually impact us in December of 2010? Finally, at the end of time, do we go to Heaven, or does it come to us? Come join us as we look at this fascinating topic, and sing lots of Southern Gospel songs!! (just kidding about that last part…maybe) ;) We start at 7pm, or come a little early for some good coffee and fellowship.
Also, though I will write a bit more about it this week, don’t forget that we are celebrating the birth of Jesus this Sunday by coming together and eating, worshiping, and feeding on the Word of God. Everything kicks off this Sunday with a covered dish breakfast, which means you need to bring food! We will also be doing food pantry, so bring a little extra for our food pantry friends.

Warning, this video contains the word Calvinism! ;) For those who wonder, and you might after watching the video, I am a 3.5 (or 3.75) point Calvinist, a Credo Baptist (not Paedo), believe the whole issue of Supralapsarianism is quite silly because it tries to get into the mind of God a bit much, and am monergestic. For those who wonder what those words mean, they are just fancy words, used by theologians to make people think they are smart! :)
